Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for excision or biopsy of salivary glands, most commonly the parotid gland. Indicated for conditions such as salivary gland tumors (pleomorphic adenomas, Warthin tumors), sialolithiasis, or chronic sialadenitis.
