Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) placement or generator change. Indicated for patients at risk of sudden cardiac death from ventricular tachycardia or fibrillation. Requires defibrillation testing capability in the procedure room.
