Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for transabdominal diaphragmatic hernia repair. In neonates, congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) is a life-threatening condition requiring urgent surgical repair with careful management of pulmonary hypertension and hypoxemia. In adults, may be for traumatic or paraesophageal diaphragmatic hernias.
