Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for partial hepatectomy (lobectomy, segmentectomy) or management of liver hemorrhage from trauma. Requires preparation for significant blood loss, coagulopathy management, and hemodynamic monitoring. Low CVP anesthesia technique often employed.
