Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for liver transplantation, both donor and recipient procedures. Requires management of end-stage liver disease, coagulopathy, hemodynamic instability, metabolic derangements during anhepatic phase, and reperfusion syndrome. Typically 8-12+ hour procedure.
