Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for vaginal hysterectomy, including laparoscopic-assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH). May include concomitant pelvic floor repair procedures. Spinal anesthesia with sedation is a common approach, though general anesthesia may be preferred for LAVH.
