Anesthesia for vaginal procedures involving hysteroscopy and/or hysterosalpingography. Covers anesthesia for endoscopic examination of the uterine cavity or radiographic evaluation of the uterus and fallopian tubes.

Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for hysteroscopy (diagnostic or operative) and/or hysterosalpingography. Hysteroscopy is used for evaluation and treatment of intrauterine pathology including polyps, fibroids, adhesions, and septa. HSG evaluates tubal patency for infertility workup.
