Anesthesia for all procedures on nerves, muscles, tendons, fascia, and bursae of the knee and/or popliteal area. Covers anesthesia for soft tissue surgical procedures around the knee joint.
Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for soft tissue procedures around the knee including Baker's cyst excision, popliteal artery entrapment release, hamstring repair, and patellar tendon repair. Peripheral nerve blocks (femoral/adductor canal and sciatic) are commonly used.
