Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for open procedures on the distal femur including ORIF of supracondylar and intercondylar femur fractures, distal femoral osteotomy, and tumor excision. These fractures often occur in elderly osteoporotic patients or high-energy trauma in younger patients.
