Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for diagnostic shoulder arthroscopy. Often the arthroscopy becomes therapeutic (converted to 01630) once pathology is confirmed. Interscalene nerve block provides excellent surgical anesthesia and postoperative pain control. Beach chair or lateral decubitus positioning.
