Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for forequarter amputation, the most radical upper extremity procedure involving en bloc removal of the arm, scapula, and lateral clavicle. Performed for advanced shoulder girdle sarcomas. Significant blood loss potential and complex vascular management required.
