Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for total shoulder arthroplasty (anatomic or reverse) for glenohumeral osteoarthritis, rotator cuff arthropathy, or proximal humerus fractures. Interscalene nerve block with general anesthesia provides optimal surgical conditions and postoperative analgesia.
