Anesthesia for all procedures on nerves, muscles, tendons, fascia, and bursae of the forearm, wrist, and hand. Covers anesthesia for soft tissue surgical procedures of the distal upper extremity.

Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for soft tissue procedures of the forearm, wrist, and hand including carpal tunnel release, trigger finger release, tendon repair/transfer, Dupuytren's fasciectomy, and peripheral nerve repair. Brachial plexus or peripheral nerve blocks commonly used.
