Anesthesia for open or arthroscopic procedures involving total wrist replacement. Covers general or regional anesthesia for total wrist arthroplasty.
Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for total wrist arthroplasty, performed for rheumatoid arthritis, post-traumatic arthritis, or other severe wrist arthritis. Less commonly performed than wrist fusion (arthrodesis). Brachial plexus block provides excellent anesthesia.
