Anesthesia for vascular shunt creation or shunt revision in the forearm. Covers anesthesia for creation or revision of arteriovenous fistula or graft for hemodialysis access in the forearm.

Clinical Context

Used when providing anesthesia for creation or revision of arteriovenous fistulas (radiocephalic, brachiocephalic) or AV grafts for hemodialysis access. Common procedure in patients with end-stage renal disease. May use brachial plexus block, local anesthesia with sedation, or general anesthesia.
