Clinical Context
Used when providing anesthesia for urgent hysterectomy following delivery for obstetric emergencies including placenta accreta/percreta, uterine atony unresponsive to medical management, uterine rupture, or DIC. One of the most critical obstetric anesthesia emergencies with massive hemorrhage potential.
