Clinical Context
Used when neuraxial analgesia for labor is converted to anesthesia for cesarean hysterectomy. Typically an emergency situation such as placenta accreta discovered during cesarean, or uncontrolled postpartum hemorrhage requiring hysterectomy. May need conversion to general anesthesia.
