Injection of ethacrynate sodium, 1 milligram. A potent loop diuretic used for acute fluid removal and management of edema.

Clinical Context

Used for acute decompensated heart failure, pulmonary edema, and refractory edema in patients who may be allergic to sulfonamide-type diuretics. Acts within minutes when given intravenously.
