Cyclic citrullinated peptide (CCP) antibody test measures autoantibodies against citrullinated proteins, highly specific for rheumatoid arthritis diagnosis.
Clinical Context
More specific for rheumatoid arthritis than rheumatoid factor. Present in 70% of rheumatoid arthritis and may appear before clinical symptoms. Predicts disease severity.
