Human epididymis protein 4 (HE4) immunoassay quantitatively measures tumor-associated antigen useful for ovarian cancer detection and monitoring.
Clinical Context
Increasingly used with CA 125 to improve ovarian cancer detection. Better specificity than CA 125 alone and useful in patients with borderline CA 125 elevations.
