Arthrographic examination of the knee joint with contrast injection followed by radiographic imaging to visualize menisci, articular cartilage, and ligamentous structures.

Clinical Context

Evaluates meniscal tears, cartilage defects, and ligament injuries. Largely replaced by MRI but still used when MRI is contraindicated.
