Ankle disarticulation with complete removal of the foot. This procedure removes the entire foot by disarticulating at the ankle joint with appropriate soft tissue handling and bone shaping.
Clinical Context
Used for severe foot pathology including extensive trauma, necrotizing soft tissue infections, severe peripheral vascular disease, or malignancy when foot salvage is impossible.
