Partial excision (stripping) of the plantar fascia of the foot. This procedure removes a portion of the thick fascia on the plantar surface to relieve tension and treat plantar fasciitis.

Clinical Context

Performed for chronic plantar fasciitis refractory to conservative treatment. May be combined with heel spur removal or other procedures.
