Nikaidoh procedure with ostial implantation; a complex congenital heart surgery performed to correct abnormal coronary artery origins by relocating the coronary ostia.

Clinical Context

Used for patients with anomalous origin of coronary artery from the opposite sinus. This anatomical variant presents a risk of sudden cardiac death, especially with exercise. The Nikaidoh procedure is performed to relocate the coronary arteries to their normal anatomical positions.
