Removal of a venous thrombus or embolus from the leg vein (popliteal, tibial, or peroneal). Surgical extraction of blood clot from infrapopliteal deep veins.
Clinical Context
Performed for acute DVT in below-knee veins. Less commonly thrombectomized than proximal DVT but may be done in selected cases.
