Surgical drainage of an abscess of the salivary gland with dissection and removal of glandular tissue.
Clinical Context
Used for infected salivary glands (parotid, submandibular, minor) requiring drainage and partial glandular debridement. Common with sialoadenitis, duct obstruction, or bacterial infection.
