Laparoscopic closure of enterostomy (ileostomy or colostomy) to restore intestinal continuity by taking down the ostomy and anastomosing bowel segments.
Clinical Context
Used when ostomy is no longer needed and patient is a candidate for reversal. Less morbid than open approach with faster recovery. Common after temporary ostomies from trauma or staged procedures.
