Radical removal of cervix is an extensive oncologic procedure including cervix, parametrial tissue, and upper vagina with pelvic lymph node dissection for cervical cancer treatment.

Clinical Context

Gold standard surgical treatment for early-stage cervical cancer (stages 1A2-1B1). Includes removal of parametrial tissue containing lymphatic drainage. Requires concurrent pelvic lymphadenectomy.
