Partial hysterectomy (supracervical hysterectomy) removes the uterine corpus while leaving the cervix in place via abdominal approach.
Clinical Context
Preserves cervix for sexual function or due to normal cervical pathology. May reduce urinary dysfunction risk compared to total hysterectomy. Requires cervical cancer surveillance.
