Laparoscopic surgical removal of the adrenal gland using minimally invasive endoscopic technique with several small incisions instead of open surgery.

Clinical Context

Preferred approach for most benign adrenal lesions less than 6 centimeters. Advantages include reduced pain, shorter hospitalization, faster recovery compared to open adrenalectomy. Comparable oncologic outcomes for selected adrenal cancers.
