Craniotomy or craniectomy with removal of intracranial mass lesion from infratentorial (posterior fossa) location.

Clinical Context

Performed for infratentorial tumors (brainstem gliomas, cerebellar astrocytomas, fourth ventricle tumors, etc.). More technically challenging than supratentorial surgery due to proximity to vital structures.
