Surgical sectioning of sympathetic nerve fibers in the cervical region to treat vascular insufficiency, pain, or other sympathetic dysfunction of the upper extremity.
Clinical Context
Indicated for severe Raynaud's phenomenon, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), or vascular insufficiency unresponsive to conservative treatment. Reduces sympathetic tone to improve blood flow.
